  • Caty's 4th birthday

For family and friends who live near and far, I will try and keep up with this blog with recent pictures and videos.

This is Caty's birthday which we celebrated on Monday Sept. 21st.  She was sooo excited for her birthday and at the end of the day she had an extra piece of cake and sang "Happy Birthday" to herself a few more times.  It was a sweet day.100_1013 100_1026 100_1025 100_1023

    Another praise!

We are moving this coming week to a new house.  I am very excited about it.  But, we were going to have to buy a refrigerator for the house since it did not come with one.  We were just going to make the payments (cause you have to have a fridge!) but yesterday at church a dear friend said she had one at her house that has just been sitting and that we could have it!  I am just so thankful.  The Lord has really just worked out so many details and doing it so quickly.  Sometimes He makes us wait and wait (which really is beneficial spiritually but sooo hard!)  but this time answers have come so quickly and it has been encouraging in my walk of faith.

  • CURRICULUM!

Thank you for those of you who have prayed about the curriculum for us this coming fall.  Yesterday my husband and I talked about it and I explained some of the reasons I would love to do something different this coming year (this past year we did the virtual academy that our state offers tuition free) and how much it would cost.  We were able to figure out that with our stimulus check coming we should be able to afford the curriculum.  Those of you who don't know, when my husband and I first started talking about homeschooling a few years ago we weren't on the same page about it.  I have prayed and prayed and now to be able to say that I am still homeschooling when my oldest is in 2nd grade and that the Lord is providing the means to do it is HUGE!  The Lord really has been working.  My husband will even encourage others to try homeschooling and will argue the benefits of homeschooling with others.  He doesn't go out trying to convince people to homeschool.  But when it is brought up, he is not embarrassed that we homeschool, or make excuses for why we homeschool, he actually believes in it for us.  I love him and am thankful for his heart that is genuinely seeking the Lord. Thank you to all for your prayers.

This morning we went swimming for almost 2 hours.  I was really hoping it would have some sleepy effect on my kids.  Unfortunately, I must have been the one who was dreaming.  My 2 year old didn't sleep at all at nap time and so she is officially super hyper.  She has been running from one wall to the couch and back again saying, "I running fast, mom, I running super fast!"  Over and over again!  Ha!

House news...we've been approved for a house we had been interested in.  We will be moving into it sometime within the next 2 weeks.  I'm excited.  There are a lot of advantages to this new place.  We will have more space, more storage space, a huge backyard, close to hubby's work, and a quiet road to ride bikes.

I'm thinking about changing my diet some to help with my PMS symptoms.  I've always been a little over the top around that time of the month, but after having my 4th child it seems even worse.  I've been doing a little reading and there are some steps you can take nutritionally to help ease the PMS symptoms.  It would include cutting out or really limiting my intake of caffeine, simple sugars, and salt.  I mention these three because I love all of these things.  I have not committed to it yet, because I know it is a huge commitment.  For right now I'm cutting back to one cup of coffee instead of 2-4 (4 is very rare).  I thought I'd start there and just be careful in the other areas.  I know that if it would help then I really need to do it, for my own sake and the sake of my family.
